New Snacks From Kroger!

Long time no see!
I've been so lazy about updating this blog.... but I'm back today with a review on some new crunchy snacks from Kroger brand! I received a Bzzkit in the mail today and immediately wanted to try this stuff, so if you're into spicy zesty snacks, read on!

Spicy Chili Lime rolled tortilla chips

Upon first opening the bag, I was immediately blown back. The strong scent of hot chili! Looking inside, the chips were very red. I was excited to try one. There was no doubt that these were packed full of flavor. Each chip was COVERED in that spicy chili lime flavor, and at first, I thought I wasn't going to be able to handle it, but after eating two, I noticed it didn't burn so much as to not let me taste the chip, but left nice warmth on my tongue, and the lime flavor definitely showed through. My only complaint is that it leaves your hand and fingers red in the way that Cheetos do, but nothing a little wet wipe can’t fix!

My next try was the Hot Buffalo pretzel pieces. Like the other snack, the pieces inside were all covered in flavor and color. Very crunchy but not too hard, just like a pretzel piece should be. After eating my second piece, I noticed that you get the flavor right away and not as an afterthought. This is a delicious buffalo flavor, and not too hot, either, though it did make my nose run a little. Lots of taste and a bit of spicy.

All in all, I am very impressed with both of these snacks, and I will absolutely use my coupons to try the other flavors! …I better close these bags before I spoil my dinner appetite!

Til next time...

Maybelline and Neutrogena Haul!

So I've been getting all sorts of new makeup lately, and I've fallen in love with these newish quads Maybelline has put out. Everything is so shiny and sparkly and pigmented and the colors are amazing.

They also came out with some limited edition stuff which included MORE COLOR TATTOO SHADOWS! I'm a girl obsessed!

Alright. Let's get down to the photos!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Mossy Green

Swatches of Mossy Green and Barely Beige
Barely Beige is a new favorite. It makes a great base for any and all shadows and stays on forever!

These next two are Eye Studio quads by Maybelline.

Package and swatches of the limited edition Olive Martini
The third color is this amazing brown/blue that changes color depending on how you look at it!

This quad is Smoky Night.
Dark bronze, purple, blue and black.
The purple is actually more purple looking in real life, and the blue is less gray and more blue in real life. Silly camera.

Next up: I had coupons for some Neutrogena products and I've never had any before so this was interesting. I decided to go for a new blush and a lipgloss.

So far, the blush looks really sheer on my cheeks, but that was without foundation underneath. I like the gloss. It's a nice sheer pink color and not too sticky.

Finally, I haven't had colored mascara in a long time, and Maybelline came out with some recently so I just had to.

Did you really expect me NOT to get teal?

More to come in clothing and makeup! Fall is coming!!!

Completing the Collection and New Stuff

So I finally got "Too Cool" from Maybelline Color Tattoo and now I have all ten of them!!

There's also some new Maybelline eye shadows. I love their newish sparkly quads!

Too Cool in the package, with the lid off, and swatched. It looks really good by itself for a quick sheer summery look and also makes a great inner corner highlight!

I got a new eyebrow pencil. This one is thinner than the Wet N Wild one I had been using and it's waterproof! My brows look more natural now!

Maybelline Eye Studio Quad with silver glitter, Amethyst Ablazed!!

They didn't name the individual colors... But they're all sparkly and BEAUTIFUL!

Swatched. Primer on top and bare on bottom. I'm disappointed in the pigmentation of that lightest purple shade.

Here are all the swatches with the glitter over them like you see in the ads. SO pretty. Now I have a decent purple or 4 to go over that Color Tattoo!
Looks like I love Maybelline a bit! hahaha!

Stay tuned!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Collection: Almost Complete!

All I have to get is the white one and I'll have all 10!

 Bold Gold!
And a swatch.

This looks amazing on the eyes!

And yesterday on a shopping trip to Walmart I bought two more.

 Audacious Asphalt
 Bad To The Bronze
 And swatches!

All three look great together in one eye look. I wore them yesterday, bronze in the middle third, gold in the inner third and asphalt on the outer third with a little extra in the outer V. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture.

Some hauls coming up soon! Claire's and Walmart!

Sleek MakeUp IDivine ACID Palette!!!

THE BEST THING EVER CAME IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY!

The Sleek MakeUP iDivine Acid Palette

Here's my unboxing/first impressions video:
I'm just a bit excited... :D

So heres the cardboard box the palette came in. its PINK on the inside!!

Here's the palette case! :D

And here are the colors!!! A matte duo-chrome raspberry/purple, matte white, matte neon yellow, matte neon orange, shimmer blue, lighter shimmer blue, matte purple, matte olive green, matte neon pink, matte neon green, shimmer grey, matte black.

Holy big swatches, Batman!!
I thought you'd want to see those the most...
Same order as I listed them: left to right, top to bottom.
The top row is with eyeshadow primer. the $1 ELF kind.
The bottom row is with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (white) as a base.
These colors definitely need a base to stick to and for the colors to really pop like they should.
In my opinion, the white kind of sucks, and the shimmer shadows are easier to get full color out of.

Here's what I experimented with today for the first time. orange in the inner half, pink on the outer half and blended in the middle with white as the highlight, a tiny bit of that raspberry on the lower lash line.

I would have gone like, full monty crazy but I was leaving to go watch my nephew have swim lessons.
LOOK HOW BRIGHT!
I wonder if they glow in the dark/under UV light?

More looks to come from this palette here and on my youtube channel!

Edit: Another experimental look!

Neon yellow and green on top with a tad of the light blue in the outer corner.
Light blue used as liner underneath with NYX jumbo pencil in Milk

Maybelline Color Tatto Cream Eyeshadow Review and Swatches

So this is a product I've fallen in love with. I first bought one on vacation in May and today I bought my 6th one! Haha!

So I'm gonna give you a little review/opinions/swatches on the colors that I have.

Left to right, top to bottom:
Fierce and Tangy, Edgy Emerald, Tenacious Teal
Pomegranate Punk, Tough As Taupe, Painted Purple

All I need now is Bold Gold, Bad To The Bronze, Too Cool, and Audacious Asphalt!

Here are some swatches. As you can see, the two matte colors on the right give off the best pigmentation. Painted purple (left) is what I bought today, and was the most hesitant about it because just about every review I've read or watched had bad things to say about it.. and sadly, they're right. It goes on streaky and isn't as pigmented as it looks in the pot.
Pomegranate Punk looks a little brown here, but its more of a reddish burgundy shade.
Tenacious Teal is. my. favorite. LOOK AT THAT COLOR! Used as a base for a mineral shadow from ELF called Dreamy, it's well.. dreamy!

Here's that interesting purple up close. Looks harmless, right?
Here's a little swatch test I did.
First: with nothing under it
Second: with ELF primer under it
Third: with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk under it
Fourth: with ELf gel eyeliner in black under it

It seems to perform best with a dark base. I'll have to do some more experimenting and see if I can pat it on and layer it to get the color intensity I want.

In conclusion, I LOVE these shadows and I highly recommend buying ALL of them.

MASSIVE Room Cleaning and Covergirl+Olay/Simply U Review!

I just spent from 11AM to about...11PM cleaning and organizing my room and ALL OF MY CLOTHES.

It looks like a whole different room!
I have room for ALL my shoes in the closet or on the organizer on my door!
OHMYGOSH!
And I put SOOOOO many things in boxes and bags for a Girls' Night stuff swap next month.
I CAN SEE MY FLOOR OH MY LORD
this is insane
I don't know if it's because of all the caffeine I drank today or the multivitamin plus B12 supplement but WHOA ENERGY!

On separate note, I tried out the Simply Ageless foundation and Sculpting Blush today and they look GREAT! (I also used the new Wet N Wild eyeshadows on my lids :)

So here's me la dee da with my glasses on. This is actually after getting ready, going out to eat, and doing a bit of room cleaning. The foundation feels so smooth and not oily that I don't need to powder my whole face, just the oily parts! I have shade 110 Classic Ivory on, along with 210 Rich Cinnamon on my cheeks. It went on so smoothly and stayed on for a super long time! I'm usually leery of cream blushes but I actually LOVE this one!
I'm also wearing the Wet N Wild Color Icon 3 color palette in Sweet As Candy. You'll be able to see it better in the following pictures.
Other products I'm wearing are Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer in Light, for my brows Rimmel Professional Eye Pencil in Taupe with ELF loose matte eyeshadow in Burnt Brown on top, ELF Eyelid Primer in Sheer, Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner in Cosmic Black, and Maybelline Mega Plush Waterproof Mascara in Very Black. This is my all time absolute new favorite mascara. I can't even....
I JUST LOVE IT.

Here are some closer up pictures.

I think I sweat off some of the undereye concealer! Oops!
I did my makeup in a super duper hurry because my mom warned me half an hour before we left to go get Chinese food, and I was still sitting around folding clothes or cleaning and stuff,
  1. In my pajamas
  2. greasy hair up in stretchy headbands
  3. NOTHING on my face.
I'm pretty proud of how my brows turned out on such short notice!!

OK. Waaaaaaay better view of that eyeshadow. I used it the boring way, like it tells me on the package. ;p
Pretty nice everyday look.
I'm sorry about my lips... I have no idea why I put on lipstick before I ate. It all came off haha!

Until next time!

Walmart Haul!

While this isn't my first haul, it's the first one I really wanted to share because I got some awesome awesome things.

I know this is the first post of this blog, and maybe an introduction is in order? But I thought I'd start out with a bang and do a haul/first impressions for you.

Enjoy!

I'll start with the normal/semi-boring stuff first.
I restocked my Biore strips, but got the combo pack. I think my cheeks could use some of the love. I've been using these for YEARS and they haven't failed me yet.
$8.97 at Walmart

Swisspers! Haha I like the name. I've never used these before actually, I've just removed makeup with pre-moistened wipes like Pond's (well, the Walmart generic alternative) but I saw a video on how to remove waterproof makeup on youtube, and the girl used these things, and I was like hey why not? They have a cottony, quilted side, and a soft flannely side. I plan to use these with the makeup remover below.
$1.98 at Walmart

Gosh it's hard to see the label!! Maybelline Expert Eyes Moisturizing Makeup Remover. for WATERPROOF makeup. I'm glad I caught that and didn't buy the other type for washable makeup!! So of course, being the kind that takes off waterproof makeup, it has all sorts of oil in it. But that's okay. I'm tired of scrubbing at my eyes with a makeup wipe to attempt getting my liquid eyeliner and waterproof mascara off! I haven't tried it yet, but i tested a bit on my finger and it feels like some Covergirl makeup remover I had when I was younger- the oily feel. We'll see how this holds up when I take off my mascara tonight.
$4.24 at Walmart

Haha I'm so silly posting the underwear I got. But really, Hanes and Fruit of the Loom are the best. They're comfortable, 100% cotton, and inexpensive. I've honesty gotten underwear from Victoria's Secret that doesn't feel as comfortable or lasts as long as these. The elastic in a couple pairs of those actually digs into my hips. Who wants a red mark in your leg at the end of the day? Not me. When I saw these, my first thought was literally "OMG. ZEBRA." It's also kinda funny that I'm a 6 in panties because I'm a *coughcough* in jeans. But yay I can throw away some panties that have stretched out elastic and holes or whatever! I love how extra superduper fresh and clean I feel when I have new underwear! Haha.
$8.87 at Walmart (pack of 6)

My pajama shorts used to be pants. Then they got too short and I cut them into capris. Then I got annoyed with that and cut them into shorts. And they are SO old. Haha! While I was making my way to the underwear area I spotted these. No Boundaries pajama boxers. Summery pretty colored, cotton pj shorts! And they're woven so they'll stay cooler. I love these colors- blue, teal, yellow. I'm wearing them right now! Sooo comfy!
$4.96 at Walmart

I was looking for coconut scented body butter because I've noticed it does WONDERS for my freshly shaven legs- better than just lotion. The kind I was considering was a bit expensive in my opinion, so I browsed the body dream/lotion/body butter and came across this, Bodycology Nourishing Body Cream which was my two favorite scents in one! And it's a body cream instead of a lotion. Very creamy and rich and it smells wonderful!
$3.97 at Walmart

Speaking of coconut being my favorite scent, I was out of Softlips, my all. time. favorite. lip. balm. :) Seriously the softest smoothest balm you can put on your lips. and amazing scents, too! This pack was Coconut Cream and Cherry. So when I saw a pack with coconut in it, I HAD to get it! Yum yum!
$2.97 (pack of 2) at Walmart

It's amazing that I've never bought one of these Wet n Wild Color Icon trios before! They're talked up with youtube gurus so much, I thought I'd try one. It's been said that they've improved their formula and that the colors are quite pigmented and some are even considered dupes for higher end eyeshadows like MAC. I got this trio in Sweet As Candy. Looks like the perfect everyday go-to combo. I swatched the shadows and they are definitely pigmented and soft and shimmery without chunky glitter. (I hate chunky glitter when I'm not looking for it) I can't wait to try this in a look tomorrow! I'll do a post on a look I do with the other makeup items I bought today. :)
$3.12 at Walmart

So, I subscribe to emails from
Covergirl, and I received a printable rebate form for $10 off when you buy $20 of the Covergirl and Olay products. Great deal right? It's like getting one product free! One of the items I chose was the Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and Serum. The bottle itself is super lightweight, which says good things about the foundation. I tried some on the back of my hand and it feels creamy yet light, and the finish is not oily or shiny, but not matte, either. Hopefully, this will do something for the fine lines on my forehead. We'll see after a bit of use!
Fun fact: I'm normally the lightest shade of anything I buy in the foundation/concealer section. but I picked up the last existing bottle of the lightest and it had been opened, and the pump had makeup all over it. Ugh. No thanks. So I opted for the second lightest which is 110 Classic Ivory here. It's not much different than the other one, looking at the bottles, and I think this will actually be a good match for me.
$12.98 at Walmart

This was the other half of the Covergirl + Olay products that I bought. Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush I'm colormatched on the Covergirl website and it told me that this shade 210 Rich Cinnamon was the one for me. I looked at the other three colors, thinking... I want something pinker... But the color in the jar is deceiving. I swirled some with my finger and tested it on the back of my hand and got a pretty pretty peachy rosy shade! I don't think they should have named it "cinnamon".
$11.44 at Walmart

OK...Impulse buy time. I was looking for a french tip white and of course the SHINY thing caught my eye. Sally Hanson Gem Crush. There were several colors in this polish, and the display said "full coverage glitter" (!!!!!!) Really. I'm sick of wanting glittery nails but having to put on about 4 coats for the result I want. I tried this on a thumbnail and it totally lived up to its claim. Only two coats did the trick! This color is 07 Lady Luck. It's a really pretty dark pinkish red glitter with larger silver glitter throughout.
$6.24 at Walmart

Simply U. A brand I have never heard of. I wonder if its new? I was looking for sulfate-free shampoo and I was about to get this kind that claimed to be organic but wasn't. Just browsing around, I saw these with BIG TAGS advertising sulfate AND paraben free! And for color-treated hair! Am I in Heaven?? Not only that, but for about the same price as the other I was looking at, I got 25.4 oz. of product! I have short hair, so these will last me FOREVER! I cannot wait to try them.
$5.47 each at Walmart

This concludes my epic Walmart haul!

More detailed reviews and pictures of the makeup in use coming soon!
